About the Course
When you love your dog, you want to ensure they’re safe, especially when off-leash. This course focuses on teaching your dog to respond reliably to cues from a distance, making off-leash time more enjoyable and secure.
In this course, you’ll learn how to teach your dog:
- On and off-leash heeling
- Recall with distractions
- Emergency stop
- Extended stays
- Directed jumping
With the guidance of an expert Behavioural Trainer, you will:
- Gain an understanding of dog body language
- Recognize different dog play styles
- Strengthen the bond between you and your dog
- Motivate your dog to come when called, even with real-life distractions
- Identify potential safety threats and learn how to respond effectively
Prerequisite:
Before enrolling, dogs must have completed the Planet K9 Basic Manners or Advanced Manners Course.

Our training venue is a safe, welcoming space with convenient parking.
If you can’t attend a class, no worries! We offer a make-up session with 24 hours' notice (one make-up session per course).
The whole household is encouraged to join in and participate during the group classes!
To enroll, simply select your preferred start date from the dropdown menu. The classes run consecutively for 5 weeks at the same time and day each week, with no classes held on long weekends.
Only classes with available spots will appear in the dropdown menu. If a class is full, you can join the waiting list.
